Over The Counter POS Solutions
FUNCTIONALITY
Your campus cash card model can be classified as a "closed" debit card POS model when you start accepting campus cash cards where cash and credit cards are accepted. The acceptance of the campus cash card at over-the-counter point of sale locations is convenient and fast, making the campus cash card a preferred payment method. Based on convenience alone, students will carry carrying higher account balances, thus increasing sales at the unattended point of sale (UPOS) locations.
Any current cash register is a potential location for a campus cash card terminal. In many cases, the cash register itself can be the terminal for a completely integrated online solution, or a side terminal can be deployed as an alternative.
For online models, ITC Systems has a food service Meal Plan Module that is ideal for cafeteria and cafe POS cash card management. For other over the counter locations like the bookstore, concessions, ticketing, shops, library and off campus merchants, the ITC Systems' Netlink Terminal is used to conduct cash card transactions as either a standalone terminal or a side terminal that works in conjunction with existing cash registers.
For store value models, the ITC Systems Mini-Till terminal is used at over the counter locations like the bookstore, concessions, ticketing, shops, library and off campus merchants. The Mini-Till is also a great tool in providing cash card bonuses, credits and debits on an add need basis.
